Another nice ShingleFin ready for glassing
Buying a new HWS can set you back between $1800-$2500 and take over 3-months to arrive. You could buy a kit for $700-$1000, build it alone in a few weeks, and then have it glassed for another $300 or so. Attending a Tree to Sea workshop can cost between $700-$1000 and in 2-3 days you’ll go home with a board ready for glassing. The host will put you in touch with a local glasser who can glass your board for about $300 (or you could do it yourself). So with this workshop, for a new wooden board, you might pay about $1100-$1200. That’s less than what it would cost with a kit, and less than half the price for a purchased board. Plus you have a great social/learning experience and go home with a gorgeous new HWS that YOU BUILT!
