Announcing TWO Australia Strip & Feather board building workshops! (SOLD OUT)
Each of these new workshops are going to be intensive two or three days of board-building, barbecue, and blast. You’ll go home with your dream board ready for final sanding and glassing.
The Venue:
Set amongst the gum trees in the leafy suburb of Mt. Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula, a green belt, about a 1hr south of Melbourne on the shores of Port Phillip Bay. The heart of this sunny suburb is a small Village with lots of cafes and friendly people.
The Host: The host for this workshop is craftsman and HWS builder Robert Ivers. He’ll be your in-country point of contact and can advise you with local knowledge such as directions, parking, lodging, glassing, etc.
The Price: Total Workshop price is calculated as $405+$50/foot AUD (Payments are made in AUD from PayPal)
What’s included: One of Rich’s design templates (or custom designs are available for $50 arranged ahead of time), pre-cut internal frames, all the wood that you’ll need (sustainably harvested Paulownia and cedar), a rocker table, all tools (but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have them), fin boxes, board vents, etc.
What’s NOT included: Food (bring your own stuff for the Barby), lodging, fins, (we assume you’ll be glassing on your fins, we can advise on fins and fin placement and you may use excess wood for shaping fins, but attached fins are not technically included).
