The Blundell (Strip & Feather) method is an innovative approach to hollow wooden surfboard construction that balances, ease of construction, material efficiency (light weight), minimal tools, and hydrodynamic performance.
The method was developed by Rich Blundell, original co-founder and board designer/shaper of Grainsurfboards. Grain continues to prove the efficiencly and reliability of the Blundell method by being the largest of many shops around the globe building Rich's designs with his method.
This group covers the evolved variants of the Blundell method, including shingle planking, non-bead & cove, and "clamp free" instant glue technigues. It is also provides access to material suppliers and the 3-day Strip & Feather workshops worldwide.
