idea, project, question

been investigating these designs - chunky and fat, tail volume and rearward hips, and am thinking of a HWS version in a kind of beginner size - what do you more experienced surfers reckon, i'd appriciate some thoughts.

i've no idea about the concaves - might just do a flat bottom deck (they make the rockin' world go round, yeah)

project

well, during the process of working out how much timber I need for the new bathroom i've just double checked and realised i've inadvertantly ordered about 15m of 3x2 too much - that means theres gonna be some spare for a board or two. got some ripping to do in the new year - a load of 8' lengths for diaganol decks on the fish and maybe another Makaha or two....

I got 99 problems but a board ain't one.............!

been tweaking the pintail plans - increased length to 10', increased the width to 23", reduced the thickness and added a little more volume to the tail - what do you reckon? this'd be a two layer construction, so about 55mm all told
